Key Responsibilities

• Develops procurement plans aligned with organisational budgets and strategic objectives.
• Manages supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Coordinates tender processes, bid evaluations and contract management.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities and negotiates favourable commercial terms.
• Ensures compliance with procurement policies, legislation and ethical standards.
• Oversees purchase orders, delivery schedules and supplier performance.
• Coordinates with Finance, Stores and user departments to meet operational requirements.
• Monitors procurement expenditure, stock availability, risks and supplier performance.
• Prepares procurement reports and recommends improvements to procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supply or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years' relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Strong strategic sourcing, contract administration and negotiation skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness, analytical thinking and cost optimisation skills.
• Knowledge of procurement legislation, compliance requirements and internal controls.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• High levels of integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
• Membership of a recognised professional procurement or supply chain body is an added advantage.
