Board membership opportunities

People offering themselves for a board seat in Zimbabwe. Every card here is a brief profile with no name, no employer and no contact details. Only a registered employer can open the full record, and even then the name and the number are released only when the person accepts the approach.

Registered employers only can open a record
Why the cards carry no names: saying in public that you would take a board seat can be read by your own employer as saying you are on your way out. So the public card shows what the person can do and nothing that says who they are. The name, the email address and the telephone number are held back until the person personally accepts an approach.

A nominations committee normally works from the address book of the people already in the room. That is how a country ends up with the same twenty directors on forty boards, while accountants, engineers, lawyers and human resources people who have run large organisations are never asked. This page is the address book everybody can open.
