What it is
ipcjobs.org brings together every genuine vacancy in Zimbabwe that we can reach, and the people looking for them, and publishes what the two together say about the labour market. It is built and run by Industrial Psychology Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, an occupational psychology and human capital firm working in Zimbabwe since 1997.
Two things at once
For a job seeker it is a place to be found: upload a CV once, and it becomes a profile that is matched against live vacancies, with your name and number private until you decide otherwise.
For an employer it is a place to advertise and to search, with every advert carrying the state of the employer's verification so that a job seeker can tell a proved organisation from an unproved one.
For everybody else it is a record: what is being advertised, by whom, where, on what terms, and how that has changed. Those figures are free to read and free to quote.
How to judge what it tells you
Every figure on this site is defined, sourced and dated, and the method behind it is written out rather than assumed. Vacancy figures measure advertised demand and never employment. A group too small to publish without identifying somebody is withheld and said to be withheld. Where the data cannot answer a question, the site says so instead of estimating.
What it will not do
It will not ask a job seeker for money, ever. It will not sell anybody's details. It will not publish a figure it cannot stand behind.
