Georg Arnhold Senior Fellowship 2028

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI) is inviting applications for the 2028 Georg Arnhold Senior Fellowship for Education for Sustainable Peace in Brunswick, Germany.

The fellowship provides outstanding and experienced scholars and practitioners in peace education with an opportunity to undertake a research- or practice-related project during a research stay at the GEI.

The fellowship focuses particularly on education for sustainable peace, educational media and curricula at secondary-school level, with applications welcomed from all regions of the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a project in education for sustainable peace.
• Preferably focus the project on educational media or curriculum development.
• Present the project at the GEI's research colloquium.
• Take responsibility for the intellectual and conceptual design of the annual Georg Arnhold Program conference in collaboration with the program coordinator.
• Work in English.
• Spend the fellowship period at the GEI in Brunswick, Germany.
• Participate in the daily working life of the institute.

Requirements

• Work in the humanities, political and social sciences or education.
• Have a project firmly located in the field of peace education.
• Hold a PhD.
• Demonstrate expertise, experience and innovation in their area.
• Have high-level international experience in peace education.
• Demonstrate at least five years of advanced professional achievement in their field.
• Examples of relevant experience may include NGO management.
• Pracademics should combine scholarly excellence with hands-on practice and grassroots work.
