About the role
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction/Structural Engineering or a relevant engineering/technical qualification.
- 10 years’ relevant experience in the precast concrete products industry, including substantial experience in a leadership/management role.
- Strong technical knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing and production processes.
- Proven experience in cost management, quality control and operational management.
- Demonstrable experience in business development and commercial growth within the precast/concrete products sector.
- Strong leadership, analytical, commercial and people-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to the Precast Department.
- Provide technical oversight of precast concrete product design, production and manufacturing processes.
- Drive cost control, productivity and operational efficiency across the department.
- Ensure compliance with required quality standards, specifications and industry requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the precast products business and market share.
- Identify new markets, products and business opportunities and develop strong customer relationships.
- Oversee production planning, resource utilisation and delivery performance.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure effective control of operating costs.
- Lead, develop and mentor technical, production and supervisory teams.
- Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
