- Job Description
- Formulate and execute business development strategies to achieve Gross Written Premium (GWP) and market expansion targets
- Lead the design, profit testing, actuarial pricing, and regulatory sign-off (IPEC) for new long-term life and pension products
- Oversee end-to-end commercial tendering, including tender sourcing, technical bid preparation, compliance, and contract negotiation for institutional pension schemes
- Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships (Bancassurance, fintechs, affinity groups) and build networks across commercial, construction, logistics, and investment sectors
- Drive digital distribution initiatives, including customer-facing portals, mobile pension apps, and automated onboarding platforms
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop business cases for cross-border market entry within Southern Africa
- Assist in structuring and negotiating Reinsurance Treaties to ensure optimal risk-spreading and profitability
- Manage departmental operations, guide market research, and track Balanced Scorecard performance deliverables
