GIS Officer

The incumbent will be reporting to the Urban Planning Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing geospatial data related to the Municipality's assets, infrastructure and land parcels.
• Collecting, updating and organising spatial data from various sources such as surveys, aerial imagery and field data.
• Creating maps and visualizing for various departments and stakeholders.
• Developing thematic zoning utility maps and other spatial representations.
• Performing spatial analysis to support urban planning activities.
• Analysing demographic data, land use patterns, transportation networks among other spatial factors.
• Integrating geospatial data with other Municipal systems and database.
• Providing training and technical support to staff members who use GIS software and tools.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Urban Planning Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems.
• 4 years of experience working with GIS
• Must be 30 years old and above
