Recruitment Associate

LEEP is seeking a motivated and versatile Recruitment Associate to support talent acquisition and hiring processes across multiple countries.

LEEP is an impact-driven, evidence-based nonprofit working to eliminate childhood lead poisoning. Its work currently focuses on lead exposure from paint, spices and traditional eyeliners.

LEEP runs programmes in more than 40 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. The organisation works with governments and industry to generate data, introduce and enforce regulations, and eliminate lead from products.

About the Recruitment Associate Role

The Recruitment Associate will report to the Recruitment Manager and support the growth and effectiveness of LEEP's talent acquisition processes.

The role involves supporting recruitment initiatives, managing candidate communications and helping ensure hiring processes run smoothly. Responsibilities range from posting vacancies and sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and assisting with onboarding logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with end-to-end hiring processes, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, sourcing candidates and screening applications.
• Coordinate interviews, meetings and calls between candidates and hiring managers.
• Support candidate communications throughout the recruitment process.
• Assist with reference checks, offer letters and recruitment documentation.
• Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate applicant tracking system records.
• Build and maintain talent pools and candidate pipelines.
• Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, Boolean and advanced searches, professional networks, referrals and targeted outreach.
• Evaluate sourcing channels and their effectiveness.
• Maintain recruitment data in the ATS and use recruitment systems to support workflows, reporting, talent pooling and candidate management.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive recruitment activities and use AI and other digital tools to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
• Track recruitment data including pipeline health, source effectiveness, bottlenecks and time-to-hire.
• Maintain recruitment documentation, experiment with different approaches to candidate attraction and contribute to structured and scalable hiring practices.
• Act as a liaison between the recruitment team and other departments and support other reasonable tasks delegated by the Recruitment Manager.

Requirements

• At least 1-5 years of professional experience.
• Passion for LEEP's mission and excellent recruitment.
• Experience conducting interviews, assessments or structured evaluations is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability or strong interest in proactive candidate sourcing.
• Strong judgement and ability to understand role requirements and candidate profiles.
• Strong organisation, planning and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong digital literacy, including Google Workspace and applicant tracking systems.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Additional languages including French, Hindi, Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish or Portuguese are advantageous but not required.
