General Manager

Foodies is seeking an experienced, commercially driven General Manager to lead the business through its next phase of growth and institutional development. The successful candidate will provide overall business leadership, drive financial performance, strengthen governance and execution, and build a high-performance management culture across all branches.

Key Responsibilities

• BUSINESS LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY: Provide overall business leadership and execute Foodies' strategy, turning plans into measurable results.
• FINANCIAL & COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE: Own overall business performance, including revenue, P&L, gross profit, budgets, working capital and cost discipline.
• LEADERSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY: Lead the management team, set clear KPIs, enforce accountability and develop strong leadership capability across the organisation.
• GOVERNANCE, CONTROLS & EXECUTION: Ensure effective governance, SOP compliance, internal controls, risk management and disciplined execution across all functions and branches.
• DIGITALISATION & MANAGEMENT INFORMATION: Champion the adoption of integrated systems, dashboards, automation and reliable management information to improve decision-making and control.
• SALES, BRAND & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: Drive sales growth, maintain brand standards and ensure an exceptional customer experience at every outlet.
• FOOD SAFETY, QUALITY & COMPLIANCE: Ensure the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, quality and compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
• SCALABILITY & ORGANISATIONAL READINESS: Build the structures, systems, controls and management capability required for disciplined multi-branch expansion and future franchise readiness.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Hospitality or related field.
• 8+ years progressive management experience, with meaningful senior leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrable experience managing P&L, budgets, gross profit and overall business performance.
• Strong track record of leading managers, enforcing accountability and building high-performance teams.
• Experience implementing and enforcing SOPs, controls and management systems across multiple sites.
• Strong commercial, analytical and decision-making capability.
• Multi-branch QSR, food retail, hospitality or FMCG experience is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of food safety (HACCP), quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable leading digitalisation and using data for decision-making.
• High integrity, discipline and a proven record of execution.
